LIGHTWATER VALLEY FALCONRY'S NEW ADDITIONS
If you didn't already know, the Lightwater Falconry is a great part of the theme park where visitors can admire a variety of fascinating creatures, from owls and eagles to snakes and ferrets. It's a fantastic opportunity for those who love animals to get up close to beautiful creatures and learn about their day-to-day lives - there are even daily bird flying shows at 2pm and 4pm. The centre has recently taken in some new animals that you'll be able to meet over the summer. Say hello to our newest additions...
Jo the Tawny Owl
Jo the Tawny Owl is around eight weeks old. He already sits very well on the glove despite being blind in one eye.
Donald the Red Rump Tarantula
Donald is around 10 weeks old. When he's fully grown he'll be the same size as a man's hand!
Jeff the Peregrine Falcon
Jeff is our baby Peregrine Falcon. He's around five weeks old and we hope to feature him in the Birds of Prey shows later this year.
Nikkita the Steppe Eagle
Nikkita is our Steppe Eagle. She's around five years old and has a lovely nature.
Toothless the Golden Eagle
Toothless is our newest Golden Eagle. He's just two months old and has stunning features.
Bobby and Mo the Spectacled and Long-eared Owls
Bobby and Mo are our two new owl chicks. One is a Spectacled Owl and one a Long-eared Owl.
